The castle, which is also known as “le Manoir”, was built at the beginning of the Middle Ages and, more precisely, in the 11th century. Its fortified doors were accessible through a drawbridge and a fixed bridge. It was inhabited by noble people for a long period and it was renovated and rebuilt several times in the 12th and 17th centuries. The present castle dates back to the 12th and 17th centuries. It is interesting to note that « Le Manoir » integrates perfectly with the scenery of the region of the « Boischaut Sud »,
